I do that a lot in conversation... however it makes me like people a lot more when I can use words like "disparate" and "antithesis" without getting that dog-hearing-a-new-noise look. (sigh)
You must think I'm super pretentious. :( Ugh. I am so sensitive about using big words, but I find myself doing it even when I self-censor. I'm obnoxious.
